I’ve tried putting ferrite snap-ons on the computer power cable, usb cord, monitor line, etc.Īny ideas on what is causing this? (And if I’m doing anything else wrong, please let me know…I’m new to WSJT-X).I use either the radio’s AF Output level or the RF/SQL knob to adjust for receiving dB under 80 on the scale in the lower left-hand corner of WSJT-X. Either way, I use the Pwr slider in WSJT-X to adjust to about 1/3 on the radio’s ALC scale.

When operating, I’ve played with setting RF power on the radio to different levels from 35W to 100W.

The rig is controlled through Ham Radio Deluxe.

In settings, I have the Audio CODEC selected for speaker and mic.

My version of WSJT-X is v2.2.2 0d9b96.

O In short, I’ve followed all of the sound setting instructions posted at O In Sound Control, the level for the USB Audio CODEC microphone is set at 55 (+0.4dB) I now have it set to 0dB per the instructions at O In Sound Control, I had the level for the USB Audio CODEC speaker set at 50 (-10.5 dB), though I have tried adjusting that up and down. O In the Volume Mixer, I have the WSJT-X bar raised all the way up (done while transmitting)

O I have the ICOM USB drivers installed (and I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling them). My computer is a relatively new Lenovo Yoga running Windows 10 (64bit).O ACC/USB AF Output level – 30%, though I’ve adjusted it up, down, and sideways I’ve set all of the recommended settings, including: Occasionally I can reset everything and get out fine for a while, but then all of the sudden ALC disappears again. I have not been able to pin it to anything in particular. Here is my problem: Periodically (but not always) my radio is showing nothing on the ALC and power meters or both of those are fluctuating wildly (down to zero) when transmitting. I’ve found some similar (but not same) ALC-related questions and followed the advice on each of those, but I am having the same problem. Before posting this, I’ve scoured the group and internet for others posting with the same issue. Well, I’m about frustrated to the point of chucking my radio and laptop into the ocean, so I’m turning to the group in the hope that someone can help me.
